RESOURCE AVAILABILITY
The current XAM CONTENT collection has 2 live MCQ pages, 8 live Case Study pages and 8 live Assertion–Reason pages for the new Ganita Prakash Part I — 18 direct chapter-practice destinations in total. Part II is included in the textbook map because it is part of the current Grade 7 course, but its practice cells are left unlinked until matching XAM CONTENT pages are published.
⚠
AVOID OLD-BOOK MIXING
XAM CONTENT also has older Class 7 Maths pages based on the previous NCERT textbook. Those older chapter names are not used in the table above. This hub follows the current Ganita Prakash Parts I and II structure.
1
GANITA PRAKASH • PART I
What Part I Covers
Eight chapters that strengthen number sense, expressions, decimals, geometry, patterns and fractions.
✓
Large numbers: place value, estimation and working with very large quantities.
✓
Arithmetic expressions: operations, brackets and unambiguous mathematical expressions.
✓
Decimals: extending place value and working with decimal addition and subtraction.
✓
Early algebra: letter-numbers and expressions using variables.
✓
Geometry: parallel and intersecting lines, triangle properties and constructions.
✓
Fractions and number play: multiplication/division of fractions, puzzles, parity and patterns.
2
GANITA PRAKASH • PART II
What Part II Adds
Seven chapters that extend geometry, integers, factors, decimals, data, construction and algebra.
✓
Geometric Twins: congruence and exact matching of plane figures.
✓
Operations with Integers: multiplication and division with positive and negative integers.
✓
Finding Common Ground: factors, multiples, prime factorisation, HCF and LCM.
✓
Another Peek Beyond the Point: multiplication and division of decimals.
✓
Connecting the Dots: data and measures of central tendency such as mean, median and mode.
✓
Constructions and Tilings + Finding the Unknown: practical geometry, patterns and simple equations.

STUDY ROUTE
How to Use Class 7 Maths Study Material Effectively
Use the textbook for exploration and the practice resources for checking understanding.
Step 1
Read the textbook idea first: follow the examples, Math Talk prompts, activities and Figure it Out questions before moving to extra practice.
Step 2
Explain the method: before calculating, say why the operation or mathematical rule you are using makes sense.
Step 3
Use MCQs where available: Chapters 1–2 currently have direct MCQ sets for quick concept and accuracy checks.
Step 4
Use case studies for application: all 8 Part I chapters have contextual questions that require you to interpret a situation before calculating.
Step 5
Use Assertion–Reason for mathematical logic: check the truth of both statements and then decide whether the reason genuinely explains the assertion.
Step 6
Keep Part I and Part II connected: later chapters deliberately build on ideas from earlier chapters, so revise prerequisite concepts when needed.
✅
REVISION CHECKLIST
Before You Consider a Chapter Revised
Check reasoning as well as calculation.
✓
I can explain the main idea of the chapter in my own words.
✓
I can solve a standard example without copying the method.
✓
I can identify which operation, property or theorem a question requires.
✓
I can check whether my answer is reasonable instead of trusting calculation alone.
✓
I can explain at least one mistake I previously made and how to avoid it.
✓
I can connect the chapter with an earlier idea from Grade 6 or another Grade 7 chapter.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CBSE Class 7 Maths Study Material FAQs
Quick answers about Ganita Prakash and the resources on this page.
Which Maths book is used for CBSE Class 7 on this page?

This hub follows NCERT’s current Ganita Prakash Mathematics textbooks for Grade 7, including both Part I and Part II.

How many chapters are there in the current Class 7 Ganita Prakash set?

There are 15 chapters across the two books: 8 chapters in Part I and 7 chapters in Part II.

Why does Part II start again from Chapter 1?

Part II is a separate NCERT volume and its contents restart the chapter numbering from Chapter 1. This page therefore preserves the official Part I and Part II numbering instead of relabelling Part II as Chapters 9–15.

Are MCQ questions available for every current Class 7 Maths chapter?

Not yet on XAM CONTENT. At the time this hub was prepared, direct Ganita Prakash MCQ pages were live for Part I Chapters 1 and 2, so only those verified MCQ links are shown.

Are Case Study and Assertion–Reason questions available for all Part I chapters?

Yes. XAM CONTENT currently has direct Case Study and Assertion–Reason pages for all 8 chapters of Ganita Prakash Part I.

Why are the Part II practice cells blank?

The Part II chapters are part of the current Grade 7 textbook set, but matching XAM CONTENT chapterwise practice pages were not verified when this hub was prepared. The cells are therefore left unlinked rather than pointing to old-textbook or placeholder pages.

Are the XAM CONTENT practice questions official NCERT questions?

No. Unless a page explicitly identifies material as coming from an official source, XAM CONTENT practice questions should be treated as independently prepared learning and revision material based on the textbook concepts.
