CHECK THE CURRENT TOPIC SCOPE
Some older practice pages may contain material that was part of an earlier syllabus, such as Euclid’s Division Lemma, completing the square, cross-multiplication, area of a triangle in Coordinate Geometry, or other rationalised topics. Before board preparation, compare the practice page with the official 2026–27 CBSE curriculum linked above.

🧪
QUICK DIAGNOSTIC
Check Six Core Class 10 Maths Skills
Attempt each original question before opening the answer.
1. If the prime factorisation of a number contains 2³ × 3², how many positive factors does it have?

Answer: (3 + 1)(2 + 1) = 12 positive factors.

2. If the zeroes of x² − 7x + 10 are α and β, what is α + β?

Answer: 7, because for ax² + bx + c, α + β = −b/a.

3. What is the 15th term of the AP 4, 7, 10, 13, …?

Answer: 46. Here a = 4 and d = 3, so a₁₅ = 4 + 14 × 3 = 46.

4. A point divides the line segment joining (2, 3) and (8, 9) internally in the ratio 1:2. What are its coordinates?

Answer: (4, 5), using the section formula.

5. If tan θ = 3/4 for an acute angle θ, what is sin θ?

Answer: 3/5. A right triangle with opposite = 3 and adjacent = 4 has hypotenuse = 5.

6. A fair die is rolled once. What is the probability of getting a prime number?

Answer: 1/2. The prime outcomes are 2, 3 and 5, so the probability is 3/6 = 1/2.

BOARD PREPARATION ROUTE
How to Use This Hub for Class 10 Maths
Build accuracy first, then speed and unfamiliar application.
Step 1
Confirm your syllabus: use the official 2026–27 CBSE curriculum to avoid practising rationalised or removed topics unnecessarily.
Step 2
Finish NCERT first: solve examples and exercises without depending on a solution until you have made a genuine attempt.
Step 3
Add chapterwise practice: use MCQs, Assertion–Reason and Case Study questions to expose different forms of the same concept.
Step 4
Maintain an error log: classify mistakes as concept, algebra, sign, diagram, formula, calculation, unit or interpretation errors.
Step 5
Practise the correct level: use Basic or Standard sample papers according to your subject code, especially during timed revision.
Step 6
Retest weak chapters: solve a fresh mixed set after correcting mistakes so that revision measures learning, not familiarity.
